The Q Erector .22 and 9mm suppressors each come with two clamshell tools (the blue things) that are designed to be clamped in a vise or with channel lock pliers (Visegrips will damage these). This is an annoying proposition, as one must keep track of the orientation of each clamshell relative to the pliers.
We have developed a set of clamp shells that easily slide over each clamshell and provide not only a set of handles, but also a hole in each unit for the insertion of a Phillips head screwdriver or other .25" diameter item to provide the torque needed to get seriously carbon-locked sections apart. These slide off and can easily be transferred to the next two sections that need separating. Each can also be clamped as well, as they are made from carbon fiber reinforced high temperature nylon.
Each unit has two 1/4" holes for "dummy cord" lanyards (not included). Includes releasable zip tie to keep the two units together. The release diagram is the last picture on this page.
Note: The first five pictures show the .22 version and the last four pictures show the 9mm version.
Also Note: THE FACTORY Q BLUE TOOLS ARE NOT INCLUDED. YOU WILL NEED TO GET THOSE FROM Q IF YOU NEED THEM.
