A customer of ours works with Val-Co poultry and hog watering systems and had a threaded piece break off. He asked us to come up with a solution, which we did!
Here is a link to that watering system:

Instructions:
1. Place the drilling guide into the broken threaded section.
2. Drill ONE 1/8" diameter hole into the broken section using the guide. Be sure not to overdrill through the entire valve.
3. BEFORE DRILLING THE OTHER FIVE HOLES, place a second 1/8" drill bit into the first hole so that the drilling fixture does not rotate during the other five hole drilling operations.
4. Drill the other five holes using the drilling guide, making sure the guide does not rotate.
5. Remove the drilling guide and use the 6-pin socket with a 1/2" drive handle to remove the broken threaded section.
6. Install new parts to complete your repair.
